1. Acceptance

By creating an account, requesting, booking, offering, providing, or receiving services through the GoTidy platform (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.


2. Definitions

Customer: a person or entity requesting or booking services through the Platform.

Cleaner: a person or entity offering cleaning services through the Platform.

Services: cleaning and related services arranged between Customers and Cleaners.

Booking: a service request made by a Customer and accepted by a Cleaner.

Content: text, photos, reviews, messages, and other content posted or sent via the Platform.


3. What GoTidy is (and is not)

GoTidy provides a technology platform that helps Customers find and connect with Cleaners.

GoTidy does not provide cleaning services and is not a party to any contract for Services between a Customer and a Cleaner.

Cleaners are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of GoTidy.

Any contract for Services is made directly between the Customer and the Cleaner.


4. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use the Platform.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your login details secure.


5. Bookings and service terms

When a Cleaner accepts a Booking, a separate contract forms between the Customer and the Cleaner for that Booking.

The Customer and Cleaner are responsible for agreeing the service details, including: scope, address, timing, access, inclusions/exclusions, supplies/equipment, and price.

GoTidy may display suggested categories, checklists, or guidance, but these do not replace the Customer–Cleaner agreement.


6. Pricing, quotes, and taxes

Cleaners are responsible for setting and communicating pricing, inclusions/exclusions, and any minimum charges.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, any price shown is set by the Cleaner, not GoTidy.

Cleaners are responsible for their own tax obligations (including GST where applicable) and for issuing invoices/receipts where required by law.


7. Payments (if enabled)

If the Platform offers payments, payments may be processed by third-party providers.

You agree to any third-party payment terms that apply to your use of payment features.

Fees (if any) will be disclosed on the Platform or at the time of payment.

If payment is made outside the Platform, this is done at your own risk. GoTidy is not responsible for off-platform payments, fraud, chargebacks, cash handling, or payment disputes between Customers and Cleaners.


8. Cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows

Cancellation/rescheduling rules may be set by the Cleaner or by Platform rules shown at the time of booking.

Customers and Cleaners must give reasonable notice where possible.

A no-show by either party may result in a reasonable fee if disclosed in advance or agreed between the parties.

GoTidy is not required to refund or collect fees for cancellations/no-shows unless GoTidy explicitly states otherwise.


9. Customer responsibilities

Customers agree to:

Provide accurate job information (scope, address, timing) and timely access (keys, codes, parking, entry instructions).

Provide a reasonably safe work environment and disclose known hazards (for example: unsafe stairs, broken glass, aggressive pets, exposed wiring, hazardous materials).

Secure valuables and fragile items.

Communicate special requirements clearly before the Booking starts.


10. Cleaner responsibilities

Cleaners agree to:

Perform Services with due care and skill and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Ensure they have all required licences/registrations and a valid ABN (if required for their work).

Maintain appropriate insurance for the Services (for example public liability), and provide evidence on request where reasonable.

Use suitable products/equipment and follow reasonable Customer instructions (so far as lawful and safe).

Be responsible for any staff/subcontractors they use, including their conduct and work quality.


11. Background checks, verification, and safety

GoTidy may request documents or information from Cleaners (such as identification, ABN details, or police check information).

Any checks performed by GoTidy are limited and do not guarantee identity, suitability, reliability, or quality.

Customers are responsible for deciding whether a Cleaner is suitable for their needs.


12. Reviews, messaging, and content

Users may post reviews and content. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences.

You must not post content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or that infringes another person's rights.

GoTidy may remove content or restrict accounts where it reasonably believes content or conduct breaches these Terms or creates risk.

By posting Content, you grant GoTidy a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and adapt the Content for operating and promoting the Platform (including showing reviews).


13. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

Use the Platform for unlawful purposes.

Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others.

Provide false information or impersonate others.

Attempt to interfere with the Platform's security, operations, or data.

Scrape or copy Platform content at scale without permission.


14. Disputes between Customers and Cleaners (GoTidy not responsible)

GoTidy is not responsible for the Services, including quality, outcomes, damage, losses, delays, missed appointments, pricing disagreements, refunds, or any acts or omissions of Customers or Cleaners.

Customers and Cleaners agree to first try to resolve disputes directly with each other in good faith.

GoTidy may, at its discretion, provide limited support (for example, sharing booking records or facilitating communication), but GoTidy has no obligation to do so and does not make binding decisions.


15. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available".

GoTidy does not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any Cleaner will be available at any time.

GoTidy does not guarantee the performance, quality, suitability, reliability, or conduct of any user.


16. Limitation of liability (important)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoTidy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or loss of data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoTidy's total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited (at GoTidy's option) to:

resupplying the Platform services, or

paying the cost of having the Platform services resupplied.

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or similar state/territory laws.


17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify GoTidy and its officers, employees, and contractors against losses, damages, costs, and claims arising from:

your breach of these Terms,

your unlawful conduct, or

your dispute or contract with another user (including Customer–Cleaner disputes).


18. Suspension and termination

GoTidy may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your conduct creates risk to the Platform or other users.

You may stop using the Platform at any time.


19. Changes to these Terms

GoTidy may update these Terms from time to time. If you continue to use the Platform after updated Terms take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.


20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
